PROBLEM: Run Tomcat 4.1.24 on Netware 6, don't disturb the factory configuration
SOLUTION: Configuration of Tomcat 4.1.24 on NW 6 can be tricky, but with a few modifications, and added custom classes. You can be up and running. In the next week or so, I'll have a tutorial, samples and information online for those wanting to try it out. In the mean time, a demo of JavaZooms jChatBox is provided for you to check out. SOLUTION: The Novell Team has been busy busy busy for quite a while now. Through tireless efforts of the Open Source Community, Novell and a great number of developers PostGre, MySQL has been released. PHP is available now, PostGres is too. From what I can tell, the JVM 1.4 only runs on Netware 6 for now, but it's all available. Go to Developer.novell.com today. I am not providing a direct link to each module, there are many updates, and requirements, install what you need, carefully. I am totally impressed with the releases this time around, great job everyone. Check out "Leading Edge" as well PHP is not quite ready for production, but seems stable on Netware 6. PROBLEM: You want to dynamically update/change site data on a web page,
or have different people update sections of the site, without screwing up the
main file and format. The example consists of three simple elements, and a jsptag.
The Data/Time are dynamically updated, and there are three files, index.jsp,
main1.html and body1.html
SOLUTION: jsp Include Statements allow you to create a master page, and
dynamically include elements, pages, etc. in your site.
